INFLUENCE OF THE CORRECTIVE AND PREVENTIVE PROGRAM ON THE RISK LEVEL OF CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES IN WOMEN OF THE SECOND PERIOD OF MATURE AGE

Abstract

Introduction. The relevance of this study is due to the need for scientific justification and implementation of effective, accessible and reproducible programs for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases among women of the second period of mature age. The results obtained will contribute to the improvement of modern approaches to prevention, and also create a basis for the widespread implementation of the proposed technology in the practice of physical therapy and health activities. The purpose of the study is to determine and scientifically substantiate the effectiveness of the correctional and preventive program in reducing the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases in women of the second period of mature age for its further practical application in the system of prevention of cardiovascular diseases.

Materials and Methods. Analysis of literary sources, pedagogical experiment, methodology for assessing risk factors for cardiovascular diseases according to Zapesochny A.Z., methods of mathematical statistics.

Results. The study at the “Women’s Health School” was conducted in stages in accordance with the concept of physical and sports rehabilitation based on biological principles. Based on the results of the screening of 79 women, 47 people were recruited to the study, who were divided into three groups: Group 1 36-40 years old (n=16), the main group (MG) 41-45 years old (n=15) and the control group (CG) 41-45 years old (n=16) with clear signs of risk of developing cardiovascular diseases (CVD). Women in Group 1 and the MG were trained using the author’s program, while the CG underwent rehabilitation using a standardized program. The results of the pedagogical experiment in women of Group 1 indicated that the average CVD risk level decreased, moving into the minimal-risk zone, which indicates a positive effect of the intervention. Similar trends were observed in women of the MG. In women aged 41–45 years in the CG, no significant changes in the CVD risk level were recorded. The results confirmed the effectiveness of the author’s developed technology, which contributes to reducing the risk of CVD in both women: Group 1 36-40 years old and in the older age group of the main group (41–45 years). No positive trends were observed in the control group.

Conclusions. The results confirm the effectiveness of the program: women who attended the "School of Women's Health" significantly reduced the risk of developing CVD. In the experimental groups, the proportion of people with minimal risk increased, while in the control group it remained at 0%. This indicates the high effectiveness of the program and the feasibility of its further implementation in preventive practice.
