METHODOLOGY OF PROFESSIONAL AND APPLIED PHYSICAL TRAINING OF FUTURE MECHANICAL ENGINEERS USING SPORTS GAMES

Introduction. At this time, there is an intensification of production. This leads to an increase in the requirements for the quality of training of specialists in higher education institutions for specific types of professional activity. In this regard, there is a need to profile physical education taking into account the requirements of the chosen profession. A new approach is to affirm the applied significance of physical education and form motivation in students by demonstrating the real need for physical exercises taking into account further professional duties. The purpose of the work is to analyze working conditions and identify professionally significant psychophysical qualities of a mechanical engineer, determine the level of their development in future specialists in this field and identify pedagogical conditions for the use of game sports in professional and applied physical training of students of the mechanical faculty.
Materials and Methods. Analysis of scientific and methodological literature and practice, pedagogical testing, methods of mathematical statistics.
Results. Specific requirements for the physical and mental fitness of mechanical engineers are general endurance, strength endurance of the muscles of the arms, legs and back, coordination of arm and leg movements, quick reaction to moving objects, accuracy of sight, high tactile and kinesthetic sensitivity, good coordination and accuracy of hand movements. The study of the state of psychophysical fitness of students of the mechanical faculty showed that 22% of them have a high level. 25% of students with a sufficient level of development of psychophysical qualities were identified. 28% of the subjects showed an average level of psychophysical fitness. 24% of students showed a low level of psychophysical fitness.
Conclusions. At present, in physical education classes in higher education institutions, it is necessary to develop in students psychophysical qualities that are inherent in future production activities. Planning of physical education classes should be oriented towards the game form of learning, since game activity is characterized by intensity, dynamism, diversity and unpredictability of game results, which significantly contributes to increasing the physical fitness of students.
