GONIOMETRIC PROFILING OF POSTURAL ARCHITECTURE IN YOUNG ADULT WOMEN: A BIOMECHANICAL PATTERN ANALYSIS APPROACH

Abstract

Introduction. Postural control is considered a fundamental construct of multimodal motor regulation, determining the architecture of spatial self-organization of biomechanical chains, dynamic stability, and locomotor energy efficiency. The functional architecture of this process is based on the precise integration of the morphological substrate of the musculoskeletal system, sensorimotor proprioceptive afferentation, and higher hierarchical levels of central neural regulation, collectively ensuring the maintenance of vertical homeostasis. Objective. The study aimed to verify the morphofunctional determination of the biogeometric postural profile in women aged 30–40 years and to identify vector characteristics of the age-related evolution of postural disorders based on comprehensive parametric modelling of the spatial disposition of somatic segments, thereby providing a scientific basis for the development of adaptive, individually oriented corrective and preventive technologies.

Materials and Methods. Theoretical analysis and synthesis of literature sources, photographic postural assessment, and mathematical statistical methods were used.

Results. It was established that the dominant morphological pattern of postural deviations in young adult women is the “round back” type, the prevalence of which demonstrates a vectorized tendency toward exacerbation in the older age cohort (from 33.3% to 43.3%). This dynamic reflects an intensification of sagittal biomechanical imbalances accompanied by a progressive reduction in the adaptive capacity of the postural system and disruption of the spatial organization of the vertical body axis. Concurrently, a decrease in the prevalence of normative posture was observed (from 23.3% to 16.7%), which may be interpreted as an integral marker of progressive depletion of the functional reserve of the postural control system. This trend indirectly reflects age-related reductions in neuromuscular coordination efficiency and attenuation of proprioceptive regulation of vertical posture. The generalized findings indicate the formation of a phenomenon of age-related postural profile polarization, where an increased proportion of functionally maladaptive morphotypes correlates with cumulative structural-functional transformations of the musculoskeletal system and progressive degradation of postural stabilization mechanisms.

Conclusions. The 30–40-year age interval of ontogenesis is a key modifying determinant of postural architecture, initiating cumulative progression of biomechanical deviations. This process reflects systemic exhaustion of postural homeostasis reserves with reduced adaptive plasticity and decreased resistance to exogenous and endogenous destabilizing influences. Collectively, these changes mark a transition from dynamic stability to the formation of fixed pathomorphological patterns.

The obtained data provide a basis for predictive modelling of postural transformation and substantiation of personalized corrective and rehabilitation programmes. Their conceptual implementation should be grounded in biogeometric profiling as a tool for early risk stratification and targeted optimization of somatic status, taking into account the individual vector of postural dynamics.
