Abstract

Introduction. To determine the kinematic characteristics of a right direct blow with a hand from a left-sided stance by a serviceman with a lower limb amputation.

Materials and Methods. The study involved serviceman P. with a left leg amputation at the level of the upper third of the tibia, who successfully completed the prosthetics stage. Serviceman P. performed a right direct blow with a hand from a left-sided stance on a boxing paw, 6 attempts were performed and recorded, and an analysis of the kinematic structure of the striking technique was conducted.

Results. The kinematic structure of a direct blow with a right hand from a left-sided stance by serviceman P. was analyzed, the phase composition of the strike and the duration of individual phases were determined: the phase of preparation for the strike, the phase of the striking movement, the phase of contact, and the phase of returning to the starting position. We also analyzed the angular movements in the joints of the body, it was determined that directly in the impact phase of the impact movement, the impact occurs due to the extension of the right (impact) arm and also the extension of the right leg, which indicates the transfer of force from the legs and torso to the impact biolink, while the left leg plays the role of a fixed support around which the torso rotates. We also analyzed the speed of the impact biolink (right wrist), it was determined that the maximum speed value is 7.73 m·s-1 and is reached at the end of the impact phase, this, as well as a decrease in speed to 2.66 m·s-1 during the contact phase, indicates a significant efficiency of performing a direct impact with the right hand. The insignificant range between the maximum and minimum values and the values of the correlation coefficients less than 10% indicate the formation of a stable motor skill.

Conclusions. A biomechanical analysis of the kinematic structure of a direct strike with the right hand from a left-sided stance by serviceman P. was conducted, quantitative indicators of the phase structure of the motor action, angular displacements in the joints at the limit moments of the motor action and the dynamics of the speed of the impact biolink were obtained. Analysis of the determined characteristics indicates a high efficiency of the strike.
