Purpose – to conduct a comprehensive analysis of innovative methods of correctional pedagogy, to systematise and summarise current scientific data on the nature, mechanisms of action, advantages and areas of application of these approaches in working with children with special educational needs, to outline their potential for improving the effectiveness of the correctional and developmental process. Materials and Methods. The analysis of scientific literature allowed us to study in detail the innovative methods, their theoretical basis. Synthesis combined these data into a holistic picture for a comprehensive understanding of the role of methods. Abstraction focused on key aspects of each method. Specification clarified the specifics of the methods for different categories of children with SEN. Induction formulated general conclusions about the effectiveness of implementing the methods in the practice of correctional pedagogy. Deduction was used to predict the results of using the methods in different contexts. Logical methods helped to systematise and critically analyse scientific research. Systemic methods allowed us to consider the process of applying correctional approaches as a complex system of interaction between the child, teacher, parents and the environment. The system analysis identified and analysed the factors that influence the effectiveness of the correctional and developmental process. Results. Art therapy is an extremely appropriate and useful tool in working with children with special educational needs. These methods have a comprehensive effect on the cognitive and emotional-volitional development of a child, significantly improving his or her socialisation and general mental state. Sensory integration is an unconscious neurological process of organising and interpreting sensory sensations received by the brain from the environment and from the body. Understanding the mechanisms of sensory integration and the specifics of its disorders is critical for the development of effective correctional and developmental programmes that take into account the individual needs of children with SEN. ABA-therapy provides a systematic and structured approach to the correction of problematic behaviour; through the consistent application of the principles of reinforcement and shaping, it effectively promotes the development of the necessary skills; establishing behaviour and developing skills inextricably lead to improved cooperation and interaction of the child with adults and peers. One of the types of ABA therapy is PRT. The naturalness and flexibility of PRT make it less formal and more enjoyable for the child. Conclusion. Innovative methods of correctional pedagogy have a complex and multifaceted impact on the cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
